# Junior Level Designer

In Kineton siamo alla ricerca di un/a Junior Level Designer con buona esperienza nello sviluppo di applicazioni real-time e videogiochi tramite Unity (C#). La figura lavorerà a stretto contatto con Game Designer, sviluppatori e artisti, contribuendo alla progettazione, prototipazione e iterazione dei livelli di gioco, dalla prima fase di concept fino alla loro integrazione all’interno del prodotto.

Il candidato/a ideale possiede una buona esperienza nel settore gaming, è autonomo nella gestione delle attività di sviluppo ed è in grado di contribuire alle scelte architetturali del progetto.

## Responsabilità Principali

- Supportare la progettazione e realizzazione dei livelli di gioco, traducendo requisiti di gameplay e game design in spazi e percorsi concreti.
- Creare blockout e prototipi dei livelli utilizzando il game engine adottato dal progetto.
- Progettare layout, percorsi, aree di interesse, punti di interazione e progressione del giocatore.
- Collaborare alla definizione del ritmo del livello, della difficoltà e della distribuzione delle sfide.
- Posizionare e configurare elementi di gameplay, trigger, checkpoint, spawn point e altri elementi interattivi.
- Collaborare con il team Art per trasformare i blockout in ambienti coerenti con la direzione artistica, preservando leggibilità e funzionalità del gameplay.
- Testare regolarmente i livelli realizzati e raccogliere feedback attraverso sessioni di playtest.
- Iterare sui livelli sulla base dei risultati dei test, dei feedback del team e delle esigenze progettuali.
- Individuare eventuali problemi relativi a navigazione, flow, bilanciamento e fruibilità dell’esperienza.
- Documentare in maniera chiara le scelte progettuali e le principali caratteristiche dei livelli.

## Requisiti tecnici

- Laurea in Informatica, Ingegneria Informatica o discipline affini (preferibile);
- Almeno 2 anni di esperienza nello sviluppo con Unity;
- Ottima conoscenza delle best practices del gaming level design;
- Ottima conoscenza del linguaggio C#;
- Ottima conoscenza con Unity ProBuilder o in alternativa Blender 3D
- Esperienza nello sviluppo di videogiochi o applicazioni interattive real-time;
- Esperienza con:

- UI Toolkit e/o uGUI;
- Scriptable Objects;
- Esperienza dei sistemi di versionamento Git;
- Capacità di debugging e troubleshooting in ambienti complessi;
- Attitudine al lavoro in team e autonomia nella gestione delle attività.

Controller, pursuant to and for the purposes of Regulation (EU) 2016/679
(GDPR), informs that personal data will be processed in compliance with the
principles of fairness, lawfulness, transparency, and the protection of
confidentiality and the rights of the data subject.

**Categories of data processed**
During the recruitment process, we process the personal data voluntarily
provided by candidates in their curriculum vitae and supporting documentation,
including:

- Identification and contact
details (name, surname, address, email, phone number)
- Data related to education,
training, and professional qualifications.
- Data concerning previous work
experience and professional skills.
- Any additional information
contained in cover letters or attached documents.

Kineton
does not request the provision of special categories of data (e.g., health
data, religious beliefs, ethnic origin), except where strictly necessary to
fulfil a legal obligation (e.g., protected categories). In such cases, such
data will only be processed if voluntarily provided by the candidate.

**Purposes and legal basis of processing**
Personal data are processed for the following purposes:
Evaluation of professional profile, to manage the application, assess
suitability for the position applied for, or for future openings.
Communication during the selection process, to contact the candidate and
organize interviews or recruitment steps.
The legal basis for processing common personal data is the execution of
pre-contractual measures adopted at the request of the data subject (Art. 6,
para. 1, letter b of the GDPR).
Any processing of special categories of data (Art. 9 GDPR) will take place
exclusively with the explicit consent of the data subject.

Additionally,
where artificial intelligence tools are used to support the screening and
matching of candidates, such processing may also be based on the legitimate
interest of the Data Controller (Art. 6, para. 1, letter f GDPR), consisting in
ensuring efficient and consistent recruitment processes, balanced against the
rights and freedoms of the data subjects.

**Processing methods
Authorization for data processing by Sub-Processors**
By signing this document, the candidate acknowledges, accepts, and agrees that
personal data may be processed by the Data Processor and/or Sub-Processors.
The Sub-Processors authorized by this document are the companies belonging to
the Kineton Group and the recruitment agencies engaged by the Kineton Group.
Data Processors may include recruitment agencies, IT service providers, and
providers of HR management platforms.
Sub-Processors are authorized to process data under the following conditions:

- The Processor enters into
agreements with Sub-Processors containing the same obligations set out in
this document regarding the processing of personal data;
- The Processor carries out
adequate supervision over Sub-Processors;
- Upon request by the data
subject, the Processor provides appropriate information on the actions and
measures taken to ensure compliance with this document.

**Use of Artificial Intelligence tools in the
recruitment process**

Within the recruitment process, the Data Controller may use IT tools
based on artificial intelligence systems to support the analysis and management
of applications (e.g. CV screening, matching with open positions).

Such tools operate exclusively as support for human decision-making and
don’t involve automated decisione-making within the meaning of Art. 22 of the
GDPR.

Final assessments regarding the candidate’s suitability are always
carried out by personnel authorized by the Data Controller. The Data Controller
implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to periodically
assess the performance of such tools and to mitigate potential risks of bias or
discriminatory effects.

The use of such tools is carried out in compliance with the principles
of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, and non-discrimination.

**Data
retention period**
Personal data will be retained for a maximum of 24 months from the date of
application, also for the purpose of considering the candidate for future job
opportunities compatible with their profile, unless an earlier deletion is
requested by the data subject.

**Transfer of Data to Third Countries**
Personal data will not be disseminated. However, they may be transferred to
third countries as a result of the use of cloud storage services, in which case
adequate safeguards will be adopted pursuant to Articles 44–46 of the GDPR
(e.g. European Commission adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses).

**Data Subject Rights**
The data subject has the right to:

- obtain confirmation of the
existence of their personal data and access them (Art. 15 GDPR);
- Request its rectification or
updating (Art. 16 GDPR);
- Request its erasure where
applicable (Art. 17 GDPR);
- Request restriction of
processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
- Object to processing (Art. 21
GDPR);
- Exercise the right to data
portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

Requests
may be submitted at any time to info@kineton.it.
The data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data
Protection Authority (“Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali”).

**Consent Clause for the Processing of Special (Sensitive) Data**
Being aware that the processing may concern data defined as sensitive under
Art. 9 of the GDPR (e.g. data related to health, racial or ethnic origin,
religious beliefs, trade union membership, political opinions). Where required,
the data subject may provide explicit consent to the processing of special
categories of personal data solely for the purposes indicated in this notice.
Such consent is optional and may be withdrawn at any time.
